Ladies of Natural Essences

I’m currently in the process of a long transition from relaxed to natural hair. I work in retail where my store is predominantly Caucasian workers. Once I decided to go natural, I had eyebrows raised from my husband and my co-workers, so I relaxed my hair last July. Then I thought about it my hair is on my head, and I have to feel comfortable. I would love strong nice healthy hair. The thing that I love about natural hair is the versatility. Once I started watching countless youtube videos and reading endless magazines of natural hair...I realized that I could be natural and feminine with African American looks also. July 2011 was my last relaxer, I have not done the big chop yet...but I might depending on the complexity of my hair. That's why I'm joining this social network to learn, grow, and maintain my natural hair beauty!
